The Callahan Lab at Boise State University is led by Dr. Mike Callahan in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  We are an analytical chemistry group with research interests in planetary science and astrobiology. We are the leading research group investigating cyanide abundance and speciation in extraterrestrial materials. We are conducting pioneering research into how iron cyanocarbonyl complexes could have transitioned to primitive [NiFe] hydrogenase active sites on early Earth.

There is enthusiasm for success that spans every discipline at Idaho's fastest growing research institution. This video asks the question, "What are you doing today?" - and is an homage to the human determination for one's chosen field, whether that means starting a business before you graduate, finding your passion with the arts, or bleeding blue with pride for Boise State.
